ATLANTA BRAVES COMPLETE SWEEP IN DC OF WASHINGTON NATIONALS

The Atlanta Braves defeated the Washington Nationals by 9-4 on Wednesday in the last meeting of a four game National League East set up in Washington DC. It allowed the Braves to sweep the series and extend their latest winning streak to five straight.

Highlights included a solo home run by Matt Olson in the top of the seventh inning. Marcell Ozuna had a total of three RBIs.

Hurston Waldrep picked up the win for Atlanta after giving up just three runs and five hits, walking none, and striking out eight over five innings. Clayton Beeter took the loss for the Nationals.

The Braves have a scheduled off-day for today and will conclude their final road trip of the 2025 regular season over the weekend with a three game set in Detroit, MI versus the Tigers. First pitch of Friday night’s series opener is set for 6:40 pm. The outing will not be broadcast on WLAQ 1410 AM or 96.9 FM due to our coverage of high school football.
