The Atlanta Braves concluded their 2025 season on Sunday afternoon with a 4-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Pirates at Truist Park.
Highlights included a two-run homer from Ronald Acuna Jr. in the bottom of the first inning.
Charlie Morton made what will likely be his final major league appearance as the starting pitcher for Atlanta.
Chris Sale was credited with the win after giving up just one run and four hits, walking two, and striking out nine in five and two-third innings. Raisel Iglesias got the save.
Matt Olson contributed an RBI single and scored on a throwing error during the eighth.
This marks the first year that the Braves have missed the MLB postseason since 2017.
The 2026 regular season will begin for Atlanta at home on March 26th versus the Kansas City Royals.
