Hospitality House for Women, Inc. is spearheading the local observation of Domestic Violence Awareness Month in October.
Most people have either experienced domestic violence or know someone that has, according to Krystal Raines, Executive Director. Help is available 24/7 to those who need it at (706) 235-4673.
Local DVAM activities will include the annual Walk A Mile in Her Shoes set for Saturday, October 4th in downtown Rome, the Love Empowers gala slated for Friday, October 10th at Taylor Estate, and a Candlelight Vigil planned for Friday, October 24th.
Raines states that she is grateful for the community’s support of survivors of domestic violence. She encourages continued support through donations to Hospitality House and its Thrift Store.
