Did you know that you can direct Georgia state taxes to help transitioning youth in foster care? The Fostering Success Act is an income tax credit for approved Georgia taxpayers on donations made to qualifying organizations that provide care for foster youth ages 16-25.
Rome’s Open Door Home welcomes such donations. Tracie Ball, Executive Director, says that this is not your typical fundraiser. Approved participants may redirect state income taxes to help organizations like ODH and receive a dollar-for-dollar reduction in their state tax bill.
