RFPR ANNOUNCES ‘TINSEL TRAIL’ PLANNED FOR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

Media release from Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation:

Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation is excited to announce our newest event, Tinsel Trail. It is a holiday event where businesses, families, and community groups can purchase and decorate their own Christmas tree at Ridge Ferry Park.

This enchanting display will transform the park into a sparkling winter wonderland, with dozens of uniquely decorated trees lighting up the season for all to visit. Tinsel Trail will be open to the public throughout the holidays, offering a joyful backdrop for holiday strolls and family photos.

Tinsel Trail is more than just a collection of trees. It’s an opportunity for our community to come together, showcase creativity, and spread holiday cheer while creating a local tradition.

Trees will be supplied by Icicle Mountain who will be setting up and selling trees at Ridge Ferry Park from November 27th until December 14th.

Individuals, families, businesses, and organizations can purchase a tree to decorate and display. We are partnering with Rome Fire Department. Proceeds support Toys for Tots and park upgrades. Each tree is a blank canvas ready to showcase unique themes, branding, or creative holiday ideas. Once decorated, the trail will remain open through the holidays. We will do a raffle to participants on December 6th.

This will be held at Ridge Ferry Park in beautiful Rome, GA. Trees will go on display December 1st. Each tree will cost $200 and you provide your decorations and extension cords.
