Volunteers and donations are sought for the 38th annual Thanksgiving Love Feast, sponsored by Concerned Citizens of Rome and Floyd County. The traditional Thanksgiving dinner will be served to those in need at the Rome Civic Center on Thursday, November 27th from 11 am until 1 pm (or until the food runs out).
Those interested in serving as a volunteer should call (706) 291-2091 to find out when they are most needed. Time slots are from 9 am until 11 am, 11 am until 1 pm, and 1 pm until 3 pm.
To donate money, send your check payable to “Thanksgiving Love Feast” to P.O. Box 161, Rome, Georgia 30161. Contributions may also be made by using the Cash app at $Lovefeast1987.
Donations of warm winter coats and jackets are also sought for distribution to those in need at the Thanksgiving Love Feast. They may be taken over to the Civic Center on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving from 6 pm to 8 pm. Donations of desserts will also be accepted at that time.
