The holiday season is approaching, and the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office is getting ready for Sheriff Santa.
Sheriff Santa teams with Toys for Tots to provide Christmas gifts for local youth and Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation to make the holidays brighter for seniors, according to Sheriff Dave Roberson.
The community has been very supportive of Sheriff Santa, which benefited from a golf tournament held in September. Additional support is welcome, states Sheriff Roberson.
The program has seen many changes during its past three plus decades of existence. One thing hasn’t changed – it’s a lot of hard work for the FCSO, attests Sheriff Roberson.
