The November 4th municipal general/special election is on the books. Voters in the City of Rome, GA elected Elaina Beeman (incumbent), Jill Fisher, and Vic Hixon to serve Ward 2 of the Rome City Commission. Incumbents Toni Blanchard, Pascha N. Burge, Will Byington, Faith Collins, and Alvin Jackson Sr. were elected to continue their service on the Rome City Schools’ Board of Education. They will be joined by newcomers Brenda Boyd and Marquita L. Davis. Floyd County voters said no to the FLOST, but voted yes for the sale of distilled spirits by glass and for Sunday sales. Alicia M. Johnson and Peter Hubbard were elected by voters statewide as Districts 2 and 3 Georgia Public Service Commissioners.
