HABITAT FOR HUMANITY – COOSA VALLEY TO DEDICATE 61ST HOME

Media release from Habitat for Humanity – Coosa Valley:

Habitat for Humanity Coosa Valley is proud to announce the dedication of its 61st home on Sunday, November 16th, celebrating another milestone in the organization’s mission to build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

This home was built in loving memory of John Hine, a faithful volunteer and donor who supported Habitat for Humanity Coosa Valley since its founding in 1984. His final donation stands as a true testament to his lifelong commitment to Habitat’s mission and to the belief that everyone deserves a safe and affordable place to call home.

Thanks to the generosity of local donors, sponsors, and hardworking volunteers, the Freeman family will soon move into their new home — just in time for the holidays. The dedication ceremony will bring together community members, supporters, and Habitat partners to celebrate the completion of this life-changing project.

“Every home dedication is a testament to what can happen when a community comes together in faith and service,” said Betsy Allgood, Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity Coosa Valley. “We’re thrilled to welcome the Freemans home and thank everyone who made this possible.”

The dedication ceremony will take place at 305 Ross Street in Rome at 3:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend and share in this joyful occasion.

Since its founding, Habitat for Humanity Coosa Valley has worked alongside families in Floyd, Chattooga, and Polk counties to provide safe, affordable housing. The completion of the 61st home marks another step toward ensuring that everyone in the community has a decent place to live.

Applications for Habitat for Humanity Coosa Valley’s homeownership program will be available in the new year. To learn more or find out how you can get involved, visit habitatcoosavalley.org or call 706-378-0030.
