Media release from AdventHealth:
AdventHealth is pleased to announce the acquisition of a long-standing family medicine practice in Cartersville, Georgia, effective November 17, 2025. Formerly The Family Medicine Clinic, the practice will join AdventHealth Medical Group as AdventHealth Medical Group Family and Internal Medicine at Medical Drive.
The need for accessible primary and internal medicine services continues to grow in Bartow County and the surrounding region, driven by population growth and an increasing demand for preventive and chronic care management. AdventHealth is committed to meeting this need by expanding access points close to home, ensuring families and individuals can receive comprehensive, whole-person care without traveling far.
“Through this new clinic, we reaffirm our dedication to serving our communities with faith-based, compassionate care that addresses body, mind and spirit, while strengthening local health resources for generations to come,” said Karen Steely, Chief Operating Officer of AdventHealth Medical Group at AdventHealth Georgia. “Many of our AdventHealth patients from Floyd County, Gordon County, Murray County, and the surrounding communities work in the Cartersville area, and this new clinic provides them with an excellent opportunity to receive convenient care while staying in the AdventHealth network.”
Patients can expect the same trusted providers and compassionate care they have relied on for years, now supported by AdventHealth’s connected system of whole-person care. Current providers Tom Beville III, MD, J. Michael Williams, MD, Abigail Matthews, PA-C, and Carisalyn Cousin, FNP-BC will continue serving patients, and the practice is excited to welcome two new internal medicine physicians to help patients manage chronic disease: Omer Saleem Baig, DO and Nanditha Jayakumar, MD.
