ROME SYMPHONY TO FILL CITY AUDITORIUM WITH CAROLS AND COOKIES AT ANNUAL HOLIDAY CONCERT

Media release from the Rome Symphony Orchestra:

Just in time for the final countdown to the holidays, the Rome Symphony Orchestra (RSO) will present its annual Christmas performance at the Rome City Auditorium on Sunday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. “Carols & Cookies” will treat guests to beautiful renditions of familiar seasonal favorites. Immediately following the concert, kids (and kids at heart) are invited to join Santa and Mrs. Claus for holiday sweets and refreshments.

“This will be the perfect way to kick off the Christmas season — festive, fun, and full of cheer and beautiful music,” said Jeffrey Dokken, Music Director and Conductor of the Rome Symphony Orchestra. “You’ll sing your way into the holidays with some of your favorite Christmas carols.”

In the spirit of giving, concert patrons are invited to join the RSO in helping to brighten the holidays for families in our community by bringing an unopened package of cookies to donate to Northwest Georgia Hunger Ministries.

“We invite you to get into the holiday spirit and celebrate the joy of the season with an afternoon of music perfect for the entire family,” Dokken added.

Doors to the Sunday afternoon performance open at 1 p.m. A full list of ticket levels and associated pricing, as well as pro-rated season ticket packages — the perfect holiday gift — can be found on the RSO website. Guests are kindly encouraged to purchase tickets in advance by visiting www.RomeSymphony.org or calling 706-291-7967.
