The 22nd annual Small Town Christmas in the Country will take place this weekend at Rolater Park in Cave Spring. Hours will be 9 am until 4 pm on Saturday and 12 pm until 4 pm on Sunday. Admission will be free for this rain or shine event.
Amanda Smith, co-organizer, says that over 200 vendors will sell homemade and handcrafted items around the park and inside the Hearn Academy.
The event will additionally feature live music and kids activities. There will also be appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as the Grinch.
Small Town Christmas in the Country began over two decades ago as an open house at the home of Fred and Susan Childers. It has since grown into a full-blown holiday tradition at Rolater Park, says Susan Childers.
Childers’ granddaughter Alex says that she looks forward to being a vendor at the event, which has been a tradition for her family since before she was even born.
