The Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism is celebrating its 50th anniversary in the year 2026.
Kristi Kent, Director of Communications, says that, in the office’s early days, it was primarily focused on festivals and bus tours.
The office’s main concentration is now economic development with a mission to bring visitors – and their money – to town.
Festivities will take place throughout this year to celebrate 50th anniversary of the Georgia’s Rome Office of Tourism, according to Kent, who enthuses that some will take on a “Stranger Things” theme. For updates, the community is encouraged to follow Georgia’s Rome on social media.
