The Salvation Army of Rome, GA saw an uptick in fundraising during this past holiday season from the previous year, but still requests donations from the public to fund its operating expenses and programs.
Major Hank Harwell, Corps Officer, says that the organization’s Red Kettle Campaign raised nearly $75,000 in 2025, about 82 percent of the goal for the year.
Funds are needed to serve the community all year, not just at Christmas time, according to Major Harwell, who adds that donations are sought year-round – and appreciated.
The organization also received great support for its Angel Tree program and its canned food drive this past holiday season. Helping hands are needed to sort some 20,000 cans.
The Salvation Army of Rome, GA is located at 317 East 1st Avenue and may be reached by phone at (706) 291-4745.
