Baseball is back! The Atlanta Braves opened Spring Training with a win and a loss over the weekend. They beat the Tampa Bay Rays by 5-1 on Saturday afternoon down in Port Charlotte, FL, then lost on their Grapefruit League home field in North Port, FL to the Minnesota Twins by a final score of 8-1 on Sunday.
The Braves will continue Spring Training this afternoon in Sarasota, FL with a match against the Baltimore Orioles; first pitch is slated for 1:05 pm.
Fans may hear coverage of weekend Spring Training games from the Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM through March 22nd.
WLAQ will broadcast every pitch of the 2026 regular season. Opening Day is set for Friday, March 27th in Atlanta versus the Kansas City Royals.
