Just over a month remains until the “Are You Smarter Than A 3rd Grader?” Awareness Fundraiser to benefit the Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth. It will take place on the evening of Tuesday, April 14th at 6 pm at the Rome City Auditorium.
The event is patterned after the TV game show “Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?”, but the focus is on students reaching literacy goals by the 3rd grade, enthuses RFCCCY Executive Director Jennifer Jolly, who adds that this 4th annual battle of the brains will reveal whether or not adults are smarter than 3rd graders.
Tickets will cost $10 for adults and $6 for children/youth. Concessions will be available. Jolly encourages the community to visit Rome-Floyd County Commission on Children and Youth on Facebook to meet the contestants and find a link to purchase tickets.
