Media release from the Exchange Club of Rome:
Members of the Exchange Club of Rome presented 2315 pairs of socks to local homeless shelters and other organizations that work with the homeless and those in need.
2315 pairs of mens, womens, and childrens socks were donated by club members this year during the month of February as part of the club’s Community Service program of National Exchange. Community Service Chairman Janet Fortune said, “I am so proud of our members and we have met the need of the number one requested item for men, women, and children in shelters in town as well as from those organizations serving the underprivileged.”
The Rome Club is the third largest in the United States, exceptional for the size of our community.
