Floyd County Extension looks forward to partnering with Keep Rome-Floyd Beautiful to host a Family Gardening Workshop on the morning of Saturday, May 2nd from 9 am until 11 am at the Chieftains Museum/Major Ridge Home on Riverside Parkway.
A community vegetable garden will be planted behind the museum during the workshop, which is free of charge.
Families must register in advance, according to county extension agent Keith Mickler.
The link to register is posted on the event Facebook page; search for Family Gardening Workshop. Once capacity is reached, registration will close.
Mickler states that the extension office is excited to team with KRFB for this program. He hopes that similar programs will be held in the future.
