NAMI – Rome, GA invites families affected by mental illness to attend its Fifth Monday Educational Meeting, slated for Monday, March 30th at 6 pm at Restoration Rome, 1400 Crane Street.
There will be a presentation on ending the silence surrounding mental illness. This will be of particular interest to the parents of children that struggle with mental illness, says Bonnie Moore of NAMI – Rome, GA, which also offers support to families via its NAMI Basics and various groups.
NAMI – Rome, GA’s Jim Moore asserts the goal is to increase transparency between kids and parents about mental illness and to let those in need know that help is available.
