The Floyd County Emergency Management Agency’s SAFE Emergency Preparedness Academy is back for 2026.
Tim Herrington, Floyd EMA Director, says that Storm Spotter Training is on tap for the March 25th session. The focus will be on CPR Training for March 31st.
There will be an Active Shooter class on April 14th and another session about CPR Training on April 21st, states Herrington, who adds that HAM Radio 101 will be offered at a date TBA in May.
Classes will meet from 6 pm until 8 pm at the Floyd EMA, located at 407 East 12th Street in Rome.
