The Atlanta Braves lost to the Los Angeles Angels by 6-2 on Monday night in the first meeting of a three-game set in Los Angeles, CA. It marked the third straight loss for the Braves and the third win in a row for the Angels.
The Braves struck first with a solo home run from Drake Baldwin in the top of the first. The Angels tied it at 1-1 on a home run by Zac Neto to begin the bottom of that inning. They took the lead with three runs during the fourth and tacked on two more in the fifth on a homer from Jo Adell. The Braves notched their second and final run of the night on a home run by Mauricio Dubon in the top of the ninth.
Chris Sale was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up six runs and five hits, walking two, and striking out seven over four innings. Jose Soriano struck out 10 en route to the win for LA.
