ATLANTA BRAVES RAINED OUT FOR SECOND STRAIGHT DAY ON SUNDAY, DOUBLE HEADER SET FOR TODAY

The Atlanta Braves game versus the New York Mets that had been scheduled for Sunday has been postponed due to inclement weather up in New York. It will be made up as a part of a double header today. First pitch of game one is set for 1:10 pm at Citi Field. Listen locally on WLAQ 1410 AM or 96.9 FM; airtime is 11:55 am from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network.

Spencer Strider will be the starting pitcher for Atlanta in first outing, while Charlie Morton will head to the mound in game two.

Sunday marked the second straight day that the Braves and Mets were rained out in New York. Saturday’s game will be made good in a day-night twin bill on Saturday, August 12th.

The Braves took the rain-shortened series opener in New York over the Mets by 4-0 in five innings on Friday night.

Atlanta currently leads the National League East with a record of 18-9 on the 2023 regular season. New York is in second place of that division at 15-12.
