NAMI – ROME, GA INVITES COMMUNITY MEMBERS TO “CHALK” ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH

May is National Mental Health Awareness Month, and NAMI – Rome, GA aims to engage the public in a conversation about mental health with “Let’s Chalk About Mental Health” on Friday, May 9th at 11 am in downtown Rome. Participants will gather at the corner of Broad Street and 4th Avenue.

This will mark the third year that NAMI supporters will take to the streets – with their chalk – to raise awareness, says NAMI’s Bonnie Moore, who adds that the event is a lot of fun. She invites members of the community to join the fun, get creative, and talk about mental health.

Interested parties may learn about services and resources available to those affected by mental illness from NAMI (or National Alliance on Mental Illness) – Rome, GA at www.namiromega.com.
