Just two weeks remain for locals to register to participate in the 2023 Rome Christmas Parade, which will make its way down Broad Street on the night of Tuesday, November 28th (with a rain date of Thursday, November 30th).
The application deadline is November 15th, asserts Janet Byington, parade co-chair.
Applications are available online at www.romechristmasparade.com. The entry fee is $100 per application, and a late fee of $50 will be attached after November 15th. Rules and Regulations are also on the website.
Proceeds from the application fees are used to create a festive environment in downtown Rome for the holiday season, says Byington.
The theme of this year’s parade will be “CHRISTmas – It’s a Wonderful Life”. This is a religious theme with a nod to a classic Christmas movie, enthuses Byington, who looks forward to seeing how it is interpreted by participants.
Byington encourages those that do not want to be in the parade to join all of the festivities as a spectator.
The Grand Marshall of the 2023 Rome Christmas Parade will be announced on Tuesday, November 21st.
