ATLANTA BRAVES BLANKED AT HOME BY LA ANGELS, ROME EMPERORS NOTCH SHUTOUT VICTORY AT HOME OVER BOWLING GREEN HOT RODS ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT

The Atlanta Braves were blanked by the Los Angeles Angels by a final score of 4-0 on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game set at Truist Park.

The Angels scored all four of their runs in the top of the eighth inning on an RBI double by Joe Adell, two-run double by (former Brave) Jorge Soler, and RBI single from Luis Rengifo.

Atlanta’s starting pitcher Grant Holmes gave up just three hits, walked three, and struck out 10 through six scoreless innings. Dylan Lee was charged with the loss. Jose Fermin was credited with the win for LA.

The Braves are now 38-46 on the 2025 regular season and in fourth place of the National League East. The Angels improved to 42-42 and are in the third place of the American League West. The Rome Emperors picked up a 3-0 shutout victory over the Bowling Green Hot Rods on Tuesday evening to begin a three-game series at AdventHealth Stadium. The teams will meet again tonight at 7 pm.

Rome’s series at home versus Bowling Green will continue through Thursday night. The teams will travel to Bowling Green, KY for a three-game set over the weekend.
