ATLANTA BRAVES DROP TUESDAY NIGHT OUTING IN KANSAS CITY, MO TO ROYALS, ROME EMPERORS OPEN HOMESTAND WITH LOSS TO GREENSBORO GRASSHOPPERS

The Atlanta Braves fell to the Kansas City Royals by 9-6 on Tuesday night in the second outing of a three-game set at Kansas City, MO. That series is now tied at a game each.

Austin Riley hit a solo home run for the Braves during the top of the sixth. Marcell Ozuna clubbed a two-run bomb in that inning and had a total of three RBIs on the night.

Kyle Isbel had a three-run double during the Royals’ five-run sixth. Vinnie Pasquantino homered in the first and had two RBIs.

Erick Fedde was charged with the loss in Atlanta debut after surrendering four runs and five hits, walking two, and striking out three over four and two-third innings. Seth Lugo got the win and Carlos Estevez picked up the save for Kansas City.
