ATLANTA BRAVES BEGIN HOMESTAND WITH MONDAY NIGHT LOSS TO MILWAUKEE BREWERS, ROME EMPERORS ON THE ROAD AGAIN

The Atlanta Braves opened an eight game homestand on Monday night with a loss to the Milwaukee Brewers by 3-1 at Truist Park.

The Braves got on the board first with a home run by Jurickson Profar on the very first pitch of the bottom of the first inning. However, the Brewers surged ahead with a three-run homer by Isaac Collins in the top of the fourth.

Erick Fedde took the loss for Atlanta after giving up three runs and three hits, walking two, and striking out none through five and one-third innings. Quinn Priester got the win and Trevor Megill picked up the save for Milwaukee.

The Rome Emperors had a scheduled off-day on Monday and will be back in action this evening with the first of seven games in Greenville, SC versus the Drive. First pitch is slated for 6:45 pm.

The Emperors’ series at Greenville will continue through this Sunday and will include a double header this Thursday to make up a game that was postponed from late June.
