The Atlanta Braves lost on Thursday evening to the Philadelphia Phillies by 19-4 in the opener of a four-game National League East set in Philadelphia, PA.
The Braves grabbed an early lead with three runs during the top of the first. However, the division-leading Phillies came storming back with five runs in the bottom of that inning. They notched six runs during the fourth.
Kyle Schwarber led the charge offensively for the Phillies with a total of nine RBIs, including four home runs.
Matt Olson homered for a second night in a row for the Braves during the top of the sixth.
Cal Quantrill was charged with the loss for Atlanta after giving up nine runs and nine hits, walking none, and striking out none in just three and one-third innings. Aaron Nola picked up the win for Philadelphia.

The Rome Emperors fell to the Winston Salem Dash by a final score of 4-3 on Thursday night in the third meeting of a six-game set at AdventHealth Stadium. That allowed Winston Salem to take a 3-0 lead in the series. The teams will meet again tonight at 7 pm.
