The Atlanta Braves fell to the Chicago Cubs by 4-3 on Tuesday evening in the middle outing of a three-game set at Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL. That allowed Chicago to take the series.
The Cubs scored all four of their runs during the bottom of the third inning on a three-run homer by Kyle Tucker and an RBI single by Ian Happ. Matt Olson scored the Braves’ first run of the night on a wild pitch in the top of the fourth. Ozzie Albies clubbed a solo home run in that inning. Eli White had a home run for the Braves to lead off the fifth.
Joey Wentz was charged with the loss for Atlanta after surrendering four runs and seven hits, walking one, and striking out eight over four innings. Shota Imanaga was credited with the win and Daniel Palencia picked up the save for Chicago.
