Media release from AdventHealth Georgia:
On Saturday, September 20, AdventHealth Georgia hosted a Day of Service, Night of Hope. Over 100 AdventHealth team members from across Northwest Georgia volunteered in the morning for a Day of Service, followed by A Night of Hope community concert which featured Dove Award-winning artist and American Idol participant, Danny Gokey, and the Magnify Worship band from Georgia-Cumberland Academy.
Starting bright and early, AdventHealth team members and their families painted, cleaned, prayed, sweated, and even glittered and glued, all in service to our Northwest Georgia neighbors. It was a powerful reminder of the joy found in giving back and the privilege of helping lift burdens for organizations in need of extra hands and hearts.
“The world is unsettled. The noise is loud, and the division is deep, yet in moments like this we get to pause and provide an opportunity to reflect and realize that even in the turmoil, God is in control,” said Isaac Sendros, president and CEO of AdventHealth Georgia and AdventHealth Redmond. “As believers, we’re not called to escape the darkness — we’re called to shine through it.”
This time of fellowship with our team members and community was a light of hope, giving us an opportunity to worship together, to pray together, and to spread the love and healing ministry of Christ.
