COMMUNITIES IN SCHOOLS OF ROME-FLOYD COUNTY: IT’S STILL A GOOD TIME TO BECOME A MENTOR OR VOLUNTEER

It’s still fairly early in the 2025-2026 school year, and it’s still a good time to become a mentor or volunteer with Communities in Schools of Rome-Floyd County.

Gregory Wooten, CIS Executive Director, says that there is always a need for mentors and volunteers, particularly at this point in the school year. Training is provided to adults who are willing to serve.

This service provides the opportunity for community members to have an impact on students’ success in academics, attendance, and discipline.
