Announcement from Floyd County Emergency Management:
Floyd Springs Road will be closed Monday for construction. Detours have been set to move traffic around the closure, which will likely be in place for a week.
Floyd County Public Works announced this week that Floyd Springs Road will close at #2801 on December 8, 2025 at 8 a.m. to replace a cross drain. The detour will be Salley Davis Road, Rosedale Road and New Rosedale Road (Ga 156) until completion of work on December 11.
Signs are now in place to warn traffic of the work. Notices will be sent if the closure is longer than the anticipated time.
Additionally, Lowery Road will close on December 8, 2025 to replace a cross drain.
Both locations are in Armuchee in northern Floyd County.
