ROME DDA ENCOURAGES LOCALS TO SHOP DOWNTOWN THIS HOLIDAY SEASON, LOOKS FORWARD TO ANOTHER FLURRY OF EVENTS NEXT YEAR

The third and final evening of Rome for the Holidays is scheduled for this Thursday from 4 pm until 8 pm in downtown Rome. Businesses will offer extended hours and special deals to shoppers. Suzanne Roberts, Director of Rome’s Downtown Development Authority, enthuses that there will also be appearances by Santa Claus and face painting for the kids.

Roberts encourages members of the community to shop downtown during this holiday season. Shoppers will find toys, clothes, food, and more at the businesses in the area.

And save those receipts from your downtown shopping trip(s)! Submit them to the Rome DDA via email or social media. You might just win a $200 gift card, says Roberts. The winner of the gift card will be announced in January 2026.

Rome’s DDA has enjoyed a flurry of events throughout this year like Ro-Flo Fest, First Friday concerts, Fiddlin’ Fest, and evening farmers markets. These activities will return next year, according to Roberts.
