Nearly 54,000 Georgians have been infected with coronavirus, per the state’s Department of Public Health.
According to the latest report by the DPH, there were 53,980 confirmed cases of COVID-19 as of 3 pm on Wednesday afternoon. There were 2,329 deaths related to coronavirus. In Floyd County, there were 349 confirmed cases and 15 fatalities. Fulton County had the state’s highest number of confirmed cases with 4,989 and fatalities with 273.
