Media release from Floyd County, GA Schools:
Floyd County Schools (FCS) and Model High School (MHS) are pleased to announce the appointment of Kendall Roberts as Assistant Principal, effective for the 2026–27 school year.
“We are excited for Mrs. Roberts to lead in this new role at MHS,” said Dr. Glenn White, FCS Superintendent. “She has deep roots in the Model community, strong instructional background, and proven leadership as assets that will support the continued success of students and staff.”
Roberts brings more than a decade of experience in education within FCS, where she has served in a variety of instructional and leadership roles since 2011. She currently teaches at MHS, where she has made a lasting impact as both an educator and coach.
Throughout her career, Roberts has demonstrated a strong commitment to student achievement, school culture, and community engagement. Her professional experience includes serving as a high school mathematics and physical education teacher, special education paraprofessional, and head coach in multiple athletic programs. She has also contributed to school leadership through her work on the Local School Governance Team, participation in the Floyd County Schools Leadership Academy, and involvement in numerous school-wide initiatives.
Roberts holds an Education Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Piedmont University, a master’s degree in Health and Physical Education from Jacksonville State University, and a bachelor’s degree from Berry College. She also holds Educational Leadership Tier I Certification, along with endorsements in gifted education, mathematics, special education, and ESOL.
“I am thrilled to begin this new chapter at Model, a place that holds a special significance for me as both a former student and athlete, and a current teacher and coach,” says Roberts. “Serving as an administrator at my alma mater is a dream come true, and I’m eager to contribute to the growth and success of our students and community. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated staff, engaging with families, and fostering an environment where every student can thrive. Together, we will continue to build on the rich legacy of excellence that Model is known for.”
Roberts will begin her new role in July, succeeding Angela Brock, who announced her retirement earlier this year. Floyd County Schools and Model High School are grateful for Mrs. Brock’s leadership and the lasting impact she has made on the district and school community.
