Perhaps the chill of Winter has got you thinking about Spring and Summer. If you are considering a camping trip to James H. “Sloppy” Floyd State Park in Summerville during the warmer months, now is an ideal time to book that campsite.
Katy Gramling, Park Manager, says that many people have already started to book their Spring Break camping trips.
Spring breakers and Summer vacationers may enjoy a variety of activities at “Sloppy” Floyd to include hiking, kayaking and canoeing, paddle boarding, and fishing, enthuses Gramling.
Winter is a good time for campers in search of some peace and quiet since the park is generally slower at this time of year, according to Gramling.
There is one Winter weekend that is anticipated to draw a flurry of visitors to the park – Valentines Day weekend, adds Gramling.
