The Coosa River Basin Initiative is keeping lines of communication open with local legislators on a handful of issues during the 2026 session of the Georgia General Assembly.
Courtnee Davenport, Outreach Coordinator, states that the CRBI is teaming up with the Georgia Water Coalition to champion bills that are aimed at PFAS transparency, the protection of the Okefenokee, and potential threats to water resources from data centers.
The CRBI wants to promote smart, sustainable development by data centers in Georgia, adds Davenport.
Citizens that are concerned about these and other issues are invited to join the GWC for Capitol Conservation Day at the State Capitol in Atlanta, scheduled for February 26th.
The CRBI welcomes new members to join their mission of cleaner water for this area. For more information about the non-profit organization or to join, visit www.coosa.org.
