Media release from the Community Foundation for Greater Rome:
The Community Foundation for Greater Rome and the South Rome Alliance have opened applications for the 2026 South Rome Community Grant Cycle, supporting projects that help make South Rome a thriving, connected, and opportunity-filled community.
“We’re excited to offer the South Rome Community Grants for the fourth year,” said South Rome Alliance Vice Chair Bobby Jones. “These grants have supported so many innovative grassroots projects in South Rome that would not have otherwise happened.”
The grant program funds initiatives that enhance education, strengthen community belonging, and improve overall quality of life for South Rome residents.
Applications are open until March 31, 2026, and are available to 501(c)(3) nonprofits, churches, and community groups working with a fiscal sponsor. Priority will be given to projects that take place in South Rome or primarily serve South Rome residents, particularly those led by individuals or organizations with strong ties to the community.
Grant recipients will be notified in late April, with awards announced in early May.
Since 2002, the South Rome Alliance has worked to strengthen the South Rome community through affordable housing development, educational programming, and strategic community investment.
