The Darlington Tigers are state champions! Darlington’s boys basketball team secured the title with a 53-50 victory over Holy Innocents Episcopal in the GHSA’s Private School State Championship Game on Wednesday down in Macon, GA. This is the first state title in history for the Tigers and the first for a Floyd County team since 1991.
Darlington head coach Nathan West told WLAQ Sports that he is especially excited for his players, who got to finish the 2025-26 season with the ultimate win – an occasion they will remember for the rest of their lives.
DJ Hall led the charge towards the state title with a total of 30 points for the Tigers.
