Four days of early voting will be offered in the April 7th special election runoff for U.S. House of Representatives, District 14. Floyd County voters may cast an advance ballot at one location – the Elections Office at 18 East 12th Street in Rome – from Monday, March 30th through Thursday, April 2nd between the hours of 8 am and 6:30 pm. April 3rd is a state holiday and early voting cannot legally be conducted on that day.
Election Day voting will take place from 7 am until 7 pm on Tuesday, April 7th at precincts across Floyd County. Voters may locate their precincts on the Georgia Secretary of State’s My Voter Page at www.mvp.sos.ga.gov.
Candidates in the runoff include Clay Fuller and Shawn Harris. The winner in that race will go on to succeed Marjorie Taylor Greene, who resigned from Congress earlier this year. There will additionally be a runoff between Lanny Thomas and John Zubick for Georgia State Senate District 53.
Local voters with questions about the runoff may contact the Floyd County Elections Office via telephone at (706) 291-5167.
