Here’s something to put on your to-do list for this weekend – purchase your tickets to the 2026 Wings Over North Georgia air show! That is, if you have not already secured those tickets.
The Spring edition of WONG is set for Friday, April 3rd and Saturday, April 4th at Rome’s Russell Regional Airport. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will be the headliners.
John Cowman, President of JLC Airshow Management, enthuses that event attendees will enjoy watching three jet teams to include the Thunderbirds, the Bayou Militia F-15 Eagles, and the Outlaw Jet Team, in addition to plenty of supporting acts.
The Thunderbirds will be making their fourth appearance at WONG. It will mark the first time that they have been able to land at Rome’s airport, thanks to a recent runway extension. Cowman says that the team will be in town all next week.
Cowman urges the public to purchase tickets now for WONG ’26, which will additionally feature a twilight show with drones and fireworks on the evening of Friday, April 3rd. The Thunderbirds will take to the skies both Friday and Saturday. There will be no air show action on Sunday, April 5th – Easter.
Visit www.wingsovernorthgeorgia.com to view the full performer line-up and to purchase tickets. Those tickets must be purchased in advance as they will not be sold on the days of the air show performances.
Cowman also encourages air show fans to follow Wings Over North Georgia Airshow on Facebook for continuing updates.
