The Atlanta Braves finished their first road trip of the 2026 regular season with an 8-2 victory over the Los Angeles Angels on Wednesday in the finale of a three-game set in Anaheim, CA. The Braves took that series by 2-1 and went 4-3 during their road trip.
Highlights included a tie-breaking, two-run homer by Matt Olson in the top of the third inning.
Grant Holmes was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. He gave up just two runs and five hits, walked three, and struck out six through six and two-third innings of work. Reid Detmers took the loss for LA.
The Braves are off today and will be back at Truist Park in Atlanta on Friday night to begin a six-game homestand with the first of three games versus the Cleveland Guardians. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 pm. Fans may listen to play-by-play coverage from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; airtime is 6 pm.
