The Atlanta Braves beat the Miami Marlins by 6-5 on Tuesday night in the middle outing of a three-game National League East set at Truist Park. That evened the series at a game each.
Dominic Smith contributed four RBIs to include a three-run double that put the Braves ahead in the bottom of the eighth inning.
Robert Suarez was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. Raisel Iglesias picked up the save, his 100th as a Brave. Pete Fairbanks took the loss for Miami.
The Braves remain atop the NL East with a record of 11-7, while the Marlins are in second place at 9-9. The teams will meet in their series finale tonight at 7:15 pm. Tune into play-by-play coverage from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network on WLAQ 1410 AM or 96.9 FM; airtime is 6 pm.
