The Atlanta Braves wrapped up a seven-game road trip with a 7-2 win over the Washington Nationals on Thursday afternoon in the finale of a four-game National League East set at Nationals Park in Washington DC. The Braves took that series by 3-1 and went 6-1 during their road trip.
Michael Harris II went 3-for-4 and drove in a pair of runs with an RBI single in the Braves’ two-run fourth inning and an RBI double during their four-run seventh. Ozzie Albies had a total of four RBIs to include a solo home run to begin the ninth.
JR Ritchie picked up the win for Atlanta in his MLB debut after surrendering just two runs and five hits, walking two, and striking out seven through seven innings. Cionel Perez was charged with the loss for DC.
The NL East-leading Braves are now 18-8 on the 2026 regular season. They will open a six-game homestand tonight with the first of three division games versus the last-place Philadelphia Phillies. The Braves’ series versus the Phillies will continue through Sunday and will be followed by a trio of games with the Detroit Tigers next Tuesday evening through Thursday afternoon.
