The Atlanta Braves defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by 6-2 on Sunday in the last outing of a three-game National League East set at Truist Park. That allowed Atlanta to take the series by 2-1.
Matt Olson clubbed a three-run homer to get the Braves on the board during the top of the first inning. Eli White contributed a two-run shot in the second, his second home run of the season. Drake Baldwin added an RBI single for the Braves during that inning. Kyle Schwarber had a two-run homer for the Phillies in the top of the eighth.
Chris Sale was Atlanta’s winning pitcher. He surrendered just one hit, walked two, and struck out nine over six scoreless innings en route to his 150th career win. Aaron Nola took the loss for Philadelphia.
The NL East-leading Braves became the first team to arrive at 20 wins on the 2026 regular season with Sunday’s victory. They are off today and will resume their current six-game homestand on Tuesday night with the first meeting of a three-game set versus the Detroit Tigers. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:15 pm.
