Rome-Floyd Parks and Recreation’s Backyard BBQ Bash is slated for this Saturday from 10 am until 3 pm at Ridge Ferry Park.
Parking will be $5. Attendees may purchase armbands for $5 each to sample some barbecue, according to Tyler Stinson, Special Services Manager.
Taste testers will determine the winners of the People’s Choice Awards, who will go home with trophies. Judges’ Choice and Overall Winners will receive cash prizes.
Food trucks will be on hand with a variety of offerings to satisfy those who are not big BBQ fans, says Stinson, who adds that there will also be live music for the 1,000 to 2,000 people anticipated to be at the Bash.
