The Atlanta Braves finished a nine-game road trip out west on Sunday with a 7-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the finale of a three-game set in Los Angeles, CA. The Braves took that series by 2-1 and went 6-3 during the road trip.
Highlights included a three-run double by Mauricio Dubon in the Braves’ four-run second inning. Drake Baldwin clubbed a solo home run during the top of the eighth. Matt Olson homered to begin the ninth. Eli White and Jorge Mateo also drove in runs for the Braves. Max Muncy had a two-run homer for the Dodgers late in the game.
Bryce Elder got the win for Atlanta after giving up just one hit, walking four, and striking out eight in five and two-third scoreless innings of work. Justin Wrobleski took the loss for LA.
The National League East-leading Braves currently possess the best record in MLB at 28-13. They are off today and will be back at Truist Park in Atlanta on Tuesday night to open a six-game homestand with the first of three games versus the NL Central-leading Chicago Cubs.
