Open Door Home is proud to present the best event you’ll never attend – the No-Show Ball, set for Saturday, May 16th.
Supporters will ‘buy’ tickets and help sponsor a ball that will never actually happen. Tracie Ball, Executive Director, says that they can just hang around in their sweats at home.
Those who participate are encouraged to take some pictures and post them on social media with the hashtag #ShowMeYourSweats – make sure to tag Open Door Home. Ball says she wants to see those pictures of participants binging on Netflix, looking out the window, or whatever – just not attending an event.
No event overhead means that every dollar raised will go toward Open Door Home’s mission to support neglected, abused, and at-risk youth. Much of the proceeds will benefit the non-profit’s Happy Days Fund that will allow these youth to enjoy adventures over the Summer, according to Ball.
