Media release from Georgia Northwestern Technical College:
Raven Dallas, who is pursuing her associate degree in Early Childhood Care and Education at Georgia Northwestern Technical College (GNTC), was recently awarded a $1,000 scholarship from the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS).
Dallas said after graduation from GNTC, she plans to earn her bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her master’s degree in School Counseling.
“In earning this recognition, Raven has demonstrated all seven attributes of NTHS: skill, honesty, service, responsibility, scholarship, citizenship and leadership, reflecting the very best of what it means to be a GNTC student,” said Medina Safic, coordinator of Career Services and NTHS advisor at GNTC.
Dallas, a Summerville resident, was one of 275 outstanding NTHS members to receive the Jon H. Poteat Scholarship based on their ability to consistently exemplify the seven NTHS attributes.
