The Atlanta Braves dropped a couple of games at home to the San Francisco Giants on Wednesday. They lost by 7-2 in the continuation of an outing that was suspended due to rain on Tuesday, then fell in the nightcap by 7-5.
Highlights for the Braves in game two included a two-run homer by Mauricio Dubon in the bottom of the ninth inning.
JR Ritchie took the loss for Atlanta in that outing. Carson Whisenhunt was credited with the win and Tristan Beck got the save for San Francisco.
Grant Holmes was Atlanta’s losing pitcher in game one. Robbie Ray picked up the win for San Francisco.
Drake Baldwin clubbed a home run to begin the bottom of the first inning on Tuesday night in that first outing.
The National League East-leading Braves are now 46-27 on the 2026 regular season, while the Giants are in fourth place of the NL West at 31-43. Those teams will meet in their series finale tonight. First pitch is slated for 7:15 pm at Truist Park in Atlanta. Fans may listen to play-by-play coverage from the Atlanta Braves Radio Network locally on WLAQ 1410 AM/96.9 FM; airtime is 6 pm.
The Braves will welcome the Milwaukee Brewers to Atlanta for a three-game set over the weekend.
